LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - A big party Wednesday night between Indiana and Kentucky, right over the river as the Big Four bridge was re-dedicated.

The ceremony on the walking bridge also included a parade.

Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer, Governor Steve Beshear and Jeffersonville Mayor Mike Moore took part in the event.

Beshear says he was anxious to walk the bridge himself.

“This is one of the most exciting days since I have been governor because we have just opened a structure that will attract people from all over the world to come right here to Louisville and then to Jeffersonville,” said Beshear.

Hundreds took part in the parade across the bridge.

The Indiana side of the Big Four opened in late May.
