Old Louisville turns into Old England during Shakespeare in the Park
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky Shakespeare presents the second production, Henry V, of its expanded 54th summer season of free Shakespeare in Central Park featuring 8 productions over 10 weeks totaling 56 performances.
Henry V, directed by Amy Attaway, previews Thursday, June 26 and opens Friday, June 27. Henry V will run June 26 - June 29 and July 1 - July 6.Pre-show entertainment begins at 7:15 PM and the production begins at 8:00 PM.
The production will then return to the stage July 17, 20, 22, 25, and 26 for the rotating repertory weeks.
The season continues with the upcoming production of Hamlet on July 10 - July 13. Then the company will perform each of its three professional productions, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Henry V and Hamlet, in rotating repertory July 15 - July 27, Tuesday - Sunday of both weeks.
A full-service bar is available with Brown-Forman spirits. Food will be available for purchase each night by the Louisville Food Truck Association.
