LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Fewer parents are putting away money for their children's college funds.

According to a 'New Discover Student Loans Survey' of 1,000 adults in 2013 in 2013, 81 percent of parents said they'd help pay, but that number is at about 77 percent.

Those who aren't planning to contribute most often responded that they want to help, but are concerned about their own finances.

About 15-percent of parents added that they believe college students should pay for their own education.
