LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man died after his car struck a building in St. Matthews early Thursday morning.

The Jefferson County coroner's office identified the man as Andrew Fulks, 45, of Glen Eagle Drive in eastern Louisville. Fulks died of multiple blunt force injuries at University of Louisville hospital at 2:43 a.m. Thursday, said deputy coroner Cindy Thoene.

Fulks was the driver of a vehicle westbound on Westport Road that left the roadway and struck the Colony Center shopping center, said Det. Dennis McDonald of St. Matthews police. Officers believe the vehicle may have been traveling at a high rate of speed, McDonald said.
