LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The search continues for two men, wanted for murder, in connection with a triple shooting this week near Paoli, Indiana.

Police have already said they're looking for 35-year-old John Carpenter and 36-year-old James Davidson. On Friday afternoon they said they also wanted to question someone else: 54-year-old Anette Davidson, James Davidson's wife. Police say Anette Davidson may be harboring her husband.

Authorities say they are also looking for clues in a truck they say belongs to Carpenter. The truck was found late Thursday night on Dixie Road in Harrison County. It was parked near an abandoned trailer and house and police had it towed to the state police post, where investigators combed through it looking for any clue that may lead them to John Carpenter.

On Thursday afternoon, authorities say Indiana State Police and members of the U.S. Marshals Task Force, searched a home on South Riddle Road in Crawford County, looking for Carpenter.

Instead, they found his nephew.

"I was sitting inside playing video games and I thought I heard somebody outside and I opened the door and they told me to come on out and I didn't expect to see a full assault team outside," said Joshua Carpenter, John Carpenter's nephew.

Joshua Carpenter says some of the men had their guns pointing in his direction when he came outside.

"I'm definitely shaken up," said Carpenter.

Authorities searched the home, but couldn't find the murder suspect accused in Monday's triple shooting near Paoli, that left two men dead, and another man injured.

"I was shocked because we never see John other than in town and stuff. I told them he's only been here only two or three times in seven years," said Cheryl Lincoln, who lives inside the home that was searched.

The search now continues to find Carpenter, along with  James Davidson of Marengo.

Davidson's neighbors say they haven't seen him in days, but are on alert, after hearing that he's also now wanted for murder.

"We all started panicking and made sure everything was locked up and stayed in the house all night watching the news," said Christy Carlton, Davidson's neighbor.

Another suspect, 48-year-old Elbert Brooks, has already been arrested.

WDRB was there Wednesday night when Brooks was taken into custody at the Village of Marengo apartments.

He has been charged with two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder, and one count of burglary.

Police say they consider the other two suspects, John Carpenter and James Davidson, armed and dangerous.

Carpenter's family is hoping he'll turn himself in peacefully.

"I've always loved him like he was my dad and I don't want to see anything happen to him,” said Joshua Carpenter.

If you have information on the two suspects that police are still looking for, give Indiana State Police a call at 812-482-1441.
