LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man has been arrested after police say he was driving a golf cart while under the influence of alcohol.

According to an arrest report, 42-year-old David Folkner was seen driving a golf cart in the area of Flat Rock Road and Polo Fields Lane just before 2 a.m. on Saturday. Police say the golf cart's head lights and tail lights were not turned on, and there were two open beer cans in the cup holders.

Folkner allegedly told officers he had just left a friend's house and was headed home. Police say his eyes were red and glossy and the smell of alcohol was on his breath.

Folkner was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, operating an ATV on the roadway, failure to illuminate head lamps, driving without tail lamps and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle.
