LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Louisville Metro Police have charged two people who allegedly scrapped copper pipes and radiators that had been reported stolen from a local business, according to an arrest report.

Justin Werner and India Shaw faced fresh charges Tuesday morning, after police say they allegedly scrapped the metal, which had a reported value of over $500.

Police say Werner scrapped radiators and copper that had been taken from a large air unit on March 17 and 22, April 4, and May 7. The metal had been reported as stolen from a location in the 1200 block of South 7th Street.

Shaw allegedly scrapped copper and radiators that were reported stolen from the same South 7th Street location on April 22, April 23, and April 25. Police say Shaw and Werner took the metal to Grade A Alliance on Melton Ave.

Police charged both with receiving stolen property.
