LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Kentucky State Police Post are investigating a two-vehicle accident in which one person was killed, according to police.

Officials say the accident occurred at approximately 10 a.m. on US 60 in Breckenridge Co., just west of Irvington. 

Police say 
William Brown, 21, of Irvington was operating a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, and that he was traveling west on US 60. James L. Dupin, 43, of Irvington was driving a 2004 Ford Focus, heading east on US 60. 

Police say Brown's vehicle crossed the center line and struck Dupin’s vehicle head on. Dupin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Brown was taken to Breckenridge Memorial Hospital with minor injuries and later released. 

Police say alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor to the crash. 

Brown was charged with manslaughter and operating a motor vehicle under the influence.
