LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Award winning reporter Toni Konz has joined WDRB News, bringing more than a decade of in-depth education reporting experience to WDRB and WDRB.com. Konz is well known for her coverage of Jefferson County Public Schools and other K-12 issues.

Konz comes to WDRB from The Courier-Journal, where she reported extensively on JCPS for the past seven years. She also served as the Kentucky correspondent for USA TODAY.

She joins WDRB's team of web journalists Marcus Green, Chris Otts and Jason Riley to bring exclusive, in-depth content to WDRB.com. She will also work closely with the broadcast journalists of WDRB, making occasional appearances on air.

"WDRB is committed to covering our community like no other media outlet in Louisville," Konz said. "That is proven by the fact that the newsroom continues to expand, hiring journalists who have covered this area for years. I am excited to join such a talented and experienced team."

Vice President, Director of News Barry Fulmer said, “Great journalism is a top priority at WDRB. The addition of Toni Konz moves us toward our goal of becoming the premier source for news in our community.”

In addition to writing education-focused stories, Konz will continue her education blog and contribute other features to WDRB.com.
