Louisville woman arrested for crash that injured Shively Police officers

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville woman has been arrested after a car crash that injured two Shively Police officers.

Police say Larricia Woodford was driving drunk in the early morning hours of June 14, when she crossed the median on S. Seventh Street, near Berry Boulevard, and crashed into a Shively Police car.

Both officers were taken to University Hospital with broken arms.

Woodford was also taken to University Hospital with minor injuries.

A police report puts Woodford's blood-alcohol level at .181, and police say there was evidence of opiates in her system.

Woodford is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, assault, failure to maintain required insurance and criminal mischief.
