Four Michigan girls set up food stand to raise money to buy parents' tombstone

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Four little girls have set up a very special stand at an annual garage sale -- all to raise money to buy a tombstone for their parents.

Haley, Danielle, Kaitlin and Kendall lost their dad in a car accident in 2011. This year, they lost their mom -- and how she died is still a mystery. The girls -- ages 9, 8, 5 and 3 -- now live with their grandparents in Michigan, and money is tight.

So 9-year-old Haley got the idea to sell water, cookies, chips and sloppy joes at the Luna Pier annual city-wide garage sale. All the proceeds will be used to buy a tombstone for their parents.

"We can't find her when we go in the grave to see her," said Danielle Campbell.

The family is also accepting donations.
