LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- According to LG&E's outage map, over 14,000 customers in the Louisville area were without power following strong storms Monday night.

Many of the outages were reported just after 8 p.m. as storms rolled through the Kentuckiana area. Many of the power outages were located in the eastern part of the city.

Duke energy reports just under 400 customers without power in the New Albany and Jeffersonville area. Many Southern Indiana outages are located around Bloomington.

MetroSafe also reports wires down in several locations including Fountain Avenue, Roosevelt Avenue and Blue Vale Way. They are also working separate transformer fires at Frankfort Avenue and Rudy Lane.

The National Weather Service says there is a tree on a van at the intersection of Westport Road and Herr Lane, MetroSafe says the tree is covering the roadway. MetroSafe adds another tree is blocking the roadway at Bedford lane.

No injuries have been reported yet.
