Unveiling of Officer Jason Ellis Memorial Highway postponed

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The unveiling of the Officer Jason Ellis Memorial Highway has been postponed.

Bardstown Police were planning to unveil the sign on Tuesday afternoon, renaming 13 miles of the Bluegrass Parkway to remember the fallen officer.

It ends at Exit 34, the ramp where Ellis was ambushed and killed in May 2013. A memorial still marks the site.

The case remains unsolved, despite more than $200,000 in reward money.

Police say the sign unveiling was postponed due to a scheduling conflict. There is no word on when it will be re-scheduled.
