LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A new spirits company has opened up on Whiskey Row.
On Wednesday, Rivulet Pecan Liqueur Co. opened its headquarters at the corner of 7th Street and Main Street. According to a news release, the company "combines the finest slow-distilled brandy, gently aged to perfection in small oak casks, with a proprietary recipe that extracts the delicate pecan flavor profile that makes the liqueur special."
The company was started by Louisville native James B. Marshall, who recently returned to the city after he retired from his role as a global executive for technology giant 3M.
At a news conference Wednesday morning, Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer congratulated the new company, adding that the secret recipe for Rivulet has been delivered to the vault of Stock Yards Bank. The Rivulet brand is expected to hit Louisville shelves by the end of the month.
"From our exploding bourbon industry, to specialized small-batch artisan products such as Rivulet, Louisville is well on its way to becoming a global epicenter for food and beverages," Fischer said, according to the news release.
