LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Your morning breakfast now comes with an unwanted side dish: higher prices.

Paying to put fresh foods on the breakfast table has gotten more expensive as of late, with the prices of some foods up as much as 11% since their 2009 levels.

Bacon prices have soared 65% due to diseases wiping out a large segment of the global piglet population earlier this year.

A drought in Brazil has driven coffee prices up.

If you like cream in your coffee, that'll cost you more, too, as increased demand in Asia has driven up the price of dairy products.

It's not all bad news for breakfast lovers though. The price of the delicious bread your favorite breakfast sandwich is served on has actually decreased by 1%, giving a ray of sunshine to help get you through your morning.
