Officials say they are considering scrapping plan to stagger tolls, aim for full tolling in fall 2016.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say they aren't ready to rule out the possibility that Tuesday's homicide involved more than two individuals.
Police say 29-year-old Keevin Hayden and 20-year-old John Robertson were found dead in a home on Red Oak Lane just before 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Authorities say the two shot and killed each other after Robertson broke into the home Hayden shared with his girlfriend. Police say Robertson was looking to rob Hayden, but Hayden fought back.
"The perpetrator forced entry inside [the home]. There was a struggle inside the house where shots were fired," said Lt. Todd Kessinger with LMPD homicide. Both died from their gun shot wounds.
Police won't say what Robertson was looking for, or whether the men knew each other.
When questioned about the possibility of other suspects, Kessinger said they aren't ruling it out as a possibility.
"There may be other people involved," said Kessinger. "If so, we don't know how many, so we're certainly not ruling anything out."
Neighbors said children lived in the home, but police would not confirm who was there at the time of the homicides. The homeowner, Hayden's girlfriend, was reportedly at work.
