LOUIVSILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- LMPD says three detectives were involved in a minor accident on Frankfort Avenue. A spokesperson says the accident was a rear-end chain collision at a red light.

One detective was driving an unmarked LMPD unit with two additional detectives in the car. The LMPD unit was stopped at a red light in between two cars when a fourth car ran into the back of a woman stopped behind the detectives.

The woman’s silver Hyundai was pushed into the LMPD car which was then pushed into the car in front of it.

All passengers were checked out by EMS. The detectives were taken to Baptist Hospital with minor injuries causing back and neck pain. The other passengers were released on scene.

The driver that caused the accident was cited for not having insurance.
