LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -  Dozens gathered to watch Germany and Argentina today at Saints in Saint Matthews

The World Cup has brought out a lot of Louisville fans to local bars to watch the games.

Compared to four years ago, the number for those interested in soccer has grown..

The American Outlaws chapter here in Louisville believe patience is key to growing a local soccer fan base

"When you watch a game, and you see those people on TV, it makes it more accessible and more people come out," said Brian Davis, president of the American Outlaws Louisville chapter. "It just takes time to get that way. I think it's growing and you get growth spurts and then it dies down."

Germany was unstoppable, defeating Argentina, 1-0.

It was Germany's first World Cup title since 1990.
