Blues, brews and BBQ attract thousands to waterfront festival

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Festival-goers at the Louisville Water Tower today, braved the heat to enjoy some blues, brews and barbeque.

The festival, hosted by Four Roses Bourbon, featured three days of live blues music, a bourbon bar and the region's best barbeque.

This was the festival's seventeenth consecutive year.

A new addition to the festival included the Brews Tasting area, which featured a variety of craft beers.

Despite the warm weather, people still enjoyed the atmosphere.

"I think it's definitely worth people's while to come out here," festival attendee Chad Ludwig said. "As hot as it is, it's a nice breeze down by the river, and you have a good time with your family."

Today was the last day for the festival.

Officials say about 15,000 people attended the event this weekend, making it one of the festival's most successful years.
