LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A group of about 60 active and retired police officers will support families of fallen officers by cycling across the state.

The group's 13-day ride will benefit the families and co-workers of colleagues who have died in the line of duty.

Cops Cycling for Survivors begins its annual trip today in downtown Indianapolis today. They'll cover nearly 1,000 miles.

Money raised in previous years has been donated to 20 survivor support organizations, scholarships and camps.
