LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Did a fight over a $60 electric bill lead to murder?

Dressed in an orange jumpsuit, 54-year-old Anthony Jecker pleaded not guilty to murder and tampering with physical evidence in court Tuesday morning. Neighbors say an unpaid $60 electric bill led Jecker to murder his landlord in the Norfolk neighborhood.

Police say Jecker and the landlord got into an argument at this apartment complex on Fegenbush Lane Monday afternoon. Police aren't disclosing a possible motive, but say they believe Jecker pulled a gun and fatally shot his landlord, who has since been identified as 49-year-old James Scott Tolle.

Jecker's bond was initially set at a half-million dollars.

In court this morning, the judge set it at $25,000 and ordered that Jecker be assigned a public defender.
