LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Officials have released the names of two people found who were found dead inside a Bullitt County home on Monday.
The Bullitt County Coroner's Office tells WDRB the victims are 64-year-old Avery and 65-year-old Marion Blevens, who lived at the home on Cow Branch Road off Highway 44. Officials say both were found deceased in a bedroom inside the home.
The cause of death is believed to be gunshot wounds. Police say Avery Blevens shot Marion Blevens multiple times with a .22 long rifle. Police believe Avery Blevens then turned the gun on himself.
A family member found the husband and wife dead in the home. Family members told police that Avery Blevens suffered a stroke a few years back, which affected him mentally. Prior to the stoke, there had been no history of domestic violence in the couple's marriage, according to family members.
