LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville woman has been summoned to appear in court more than six years after authorities say she threatened and harassed a teacher at a local elementary school.

According to a criminal summons, the incident took place on Jan 9, 2008, at Goldsmith Elementary School. Authorities say Selita Jackson, a parent of a child at the school, was angry because one of the school staff members -- who was both a teacher and the librarian -- wrote a disciplinary referral to her child; so police say she Jackson showed up at the school and began screaming and yelling at the teacher as she was walking out of her office.

According to court documents, Jackson went to the the cafeteria, retrieved her child, then accused the teacher of hitting and kicking her child. Authorities says Jackson pinned the teacher against the wall, got in her face and talked about "having it out" with her.

Another teacher was able to separate them, according to the criminal summons.

Jackson's actions "caused alarm" to students and others in the building, authorities say.

A criminal summons was issued on Aug. 26, 2010. Jackson wasn't served with the summons until July 3, 2014. She has been charged with abuse of a teacher, terroristic threatening and harassment. She is scheduled to appear in court next month.
