BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WDRB) -- Mark Stoops has the University of Kentucky football program climbing to unprecedented heights in various recruiting rankings.
But the media members who cover Southeastern Conference football don't expect that to have much impact on the coming season.
The Wildcats were picked to finish last in the SEC's Eastern Division, even behind a Vanderbilt program rebuilding after the loss of coach James Franklin. And it wasn't really close. UK picked up 395 points in media voting, Vanderbilt had 619.
Alabama (154 points in the balloting) is the pick to win the league, followed by Auburn (75), South Carolina (32), Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Arkansas and Mississippi State.
