Food prices climbing, according to Kentucky Farm Bureau survey

Posted: Updated:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Food prices at the grocery store are climbing, and there doesn't seem to be any end in sight.

A survey conducted by the Kentucky Farm Bureau shows that food prices are now 1.3 percent higher than last quarter's record-high prices. Pork saw the highest price jump of 8.2 percent -- but there are also price increases for poultry, dairy, grains, and fruits and vegetables.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics also reports that average food-at-home prices have increased each month this year.
