LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say they have made an arrest in connection with a number of vehicle break-ins in the east end. According to LMPD Detective Maj. Barry Wilkerson, 33-year-old Joshua Lee turned himself in Friday morning after seeing his image on news reports.

As WDRB's Emily Mieure reported earlier this week, police believe a female accomplice has been helping Lee, and they're still searching for her.

Lee and his accomplice are suspected in a number of thefts of credit cards from cars in Louisville and Indiana. Police say they have targeted locations like the Lyndon baseball fields and the Northeast YMCA, looking for vehicles with purses and other valuables visible in the seat.

Lee is charged with six counts of theft.

If you recognize the woman police believe has been helping Lee, you're asked to call the LMPD crime tipline at 502-574-LMPD (502-574-5673).
