String of armed robberies at Radio Shacks under investigation

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Metro Police say armed thieves have successfully robbed the same Radio Shack more than once.

Robbery Unit officials say the Radio Shack on New Cut Road was first hit on June 13.

Officials say three armed suspects demanded property from employees and then fled the scene.

They say two armed suspects are also behind the latest incident at the same location yesterday. However, LMPD can't say that it's the same suspects in both incidents.

They do have advice if you're ever the victim of a burglary though.

“Be vigilant, cooperate, and be as good of a witness as you can to the police when we get there,” Sgt. Josh Carr of LMPD’s robbery unit said.

Radio Shack employees were able to provide general descriptions of the suspects.

There was also a break in at a Radio Shack in St. Matthews.

LMPD is looking into whether or not that's connected to these burglaries.
