LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Dozens gathered Sunday to show off their hot rods and help raise money for a little girl battling a genetic disease.

"Caylee was diagnosed about three years ago with congenital myopathy," said Chris Thompson, Caylee's father. It's a muscle degenerative disease that she was born with. We're just trying to bring awareness, give back to the community and give back to Kosair charities."

The event was called Cruisin' with Caylee at Ridge Park off Dixie Highway. There was music, a benefit auction and door prizes.

Money was collected to help benefit Caylee and her medical expenses. Caylee struggles with walking, fine motor skills and has to be fed through a tube.

Part of the proceeds will also go to Kosair Charities.
