LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Area high school theater departments come together to present the production of Seussical the Musical.

The show features students from YPAS, Floyd Central, Silver Creek, New Albany, Jeffersonville and many more.

There will be more than 75 performers from 11 different schools represented in this production.

The production crew also includes Producer John Witten, President New Albany RiverStage Production, Co-Directors Amy Harpenau Director of Theater Arts New Albany High School and Alonzo Richmond Director Theater Arts Silver Creek, Production Stage Manager Tyler Hieb, and Stage Manager Mike French.

Now one of the most performed shows in America, SEUSSICAL brings to life all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mayzie, and a little boy with a big imagination--Jojo.

The colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos.

For the inaugural event for New Albany RiverStage Productions, they are going to introduce a new technology called the Hearing loop.

For those that are hard of hearing and wear E-Coil hearing aids, the technology is designed to give those people a clear distinctive hearing experience.

The production opens Friday, July 25 and runs through Sunday, July 27 at the New Albany Riverfront Amphitheater.
