LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It may be "Possibility City" but apparently Louisville is also an unhappy city.

That's according to researchers at the University of British Columbia and Harvard, based on data gathered by the CDC.

According to the data, New York is the most unhappy city in the U.S., followed by Pittsburgh, then Louisville at number three.

Researchers say unhappiness is related to income inequality, and that climate has a direct impact on happiness. The research group also found that happiness is greater when a city is growing.

The most joyful cities were in sunny southern states.
