Police looking for suspects after Jeffersontown Hardee's robbed

Posted: Updated:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jeffersontown police are investigating after a robbery at the Hardee's in the 9500 block of Taylorsville Road near Patti Lane.

Police at the scene tell WDRB's Rachel Collier that two men armed with guns came in through the front door around 6 a.m. There were two employees inside at the time. Police say the suspects, who wore masks, took an undetermined amount of cash and ran out the back door in an unknown direction.

No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported.

Investigators are reviewing the store's surveillance video, but police tell us the men wore clothing, including masks, that covered their bodies from head to toe, concealing their race.

This is the second time a fast food restaurant has been robbed this week, and the third in less than two weeks. On July 23, armed men robbed a McDonald's on Preston Highway. On July 16, the Dairy Queen in Middletown was robbed by two men with guns wearing masks and bandannas. Police do not yet know if the robberies are connected.

Anyone with information on any of these robberies is asked to call the LMPD crime tipline at 502-574-LMPD.
