Pair accused of stealing copper, running from cops
Police say Gregory Denham and Megan Walston admitted to breaking into apartments in the 7700 block of Beulah Church Road, with the intention of stealing copper.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Louisville Police have arrested two people for allegedly stealing copper and fleeing from police.
Gregory Denham and Megan Walston were arrested Monday morning on East Manslick Road, near Beulah Church Road, according to police records.
Officers initially came into contact with the suspects when they tried to pull them over for a traffic stop.
Police records state that the pair took off running from a vehicle and did not stop as an officer yelled for them to do so. Denham was captured in the 7600 block of East Manslick Road and taken into custody after the foot chase. Police found Walston in the 7700 block of East Manslick Road, near Beulah Church Road.
During a search of the vehicle the suspects were traveling in, police found multiple bundles of copper, along with tools used to cut copper wiring. A police investigation also revealed that the license plate on the vehicle had been reported stolen.
Denham and Walston gave taped statements to police that they had broken into apartments in the 7700 block of Beulah Church Road to steal copper.
They're charged with burglary, fleeing from police, and possession of burglary tools.
