LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Thousands of vintage cars rolled into Louisville Wednesday afternoon for the annual Street Rod Nationals.

Fourth Street Live! in downtown Louisville was packed with people trying to get a glimpse of the cars.

Thirty thousand people are expected to attend the annual event. Louisville has hosted the vintage car show for the past 17 years in a
row.

The event is expected to bring $13 million in revenue to the city, and Mayor Greg Fischer says the cars are a popular sight around town. "We see them rolling around our city throughout these four or five days that they're here with us and every time people smile. They wave to the cars as they go by and everybody gives you all a thumbs up and it's just a really cool thing," Mayor Fischer said.

The show starts tomorrow and runs through Sunday at the Kentucky Expo Center.
