Elizabeth Woolsey says goodbye to WDRB News @ 10

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- WDRB's Elizabeth Woolsey will soon be anchoring just the news at 4.

Wednesday night was her last time anchoring the news at 10.

You can read her statement about the move here:

For 13 of my 16 years at WDRB, I've had the privilege of bringing you the 10 pm news. During that time, I've been blessed with two sons who are now ages five and seven. It's grown increasingly difficult to balance my work schedule with the needs of my family. It will get even harder as both of them will be in elementary school this year, with their school days ending as my work day begins.

I love my job, but also cherish the time with my family and realize I will never get this time back with them as my sons grow up. It's a juggling act every working mother struggles with, and for me the right decision for now is to scale back my hours. That will allow me to spend evenings with my family.

My last night anchoring WDRB News at 10 will be Wednesday, July 30th. I will be starting my new schedule on Monday, August 4th and will continue to anchor WDRB News at 4. I look forward to seeing you there! I'm so grateful for a wonderful boss and employer in WDRB for allowing me to make this transition to keep doing what I love professionally and personally. It's a big change, but one I feel will be rewarding!
