LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- 15,000 vintage cars are now in Louisville, drawing some 30,000 people to the city.

It's the first day of the Street Rod Nationals - one of the largest shows in the country. The show runs through Sunday at the Kentucky Expo Center.

“You get a lot of people, a lot of different car guys from around the country and around the world. A lot of exposure for your car,” Jeffersonville resident Greg Chapman said.

Louisville has hosted it for the past 17 years in a row.

The cars featured are from the 50's, 60's and 70's, and those who attend each year say there's something for everyone.

"Prettiest cars in the world and they're here.” Louisville resident Rick Larkins said, “Every make, every model. If you have a dream of a car you want to buy, you just walk around here and you'll see one and usually they're for sale."

“You can't see everything in one day.” Chapman added, “Everywhere you look, as far as the eye can see, you can see cars."
