LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jeffersontown's Historic Gaslight District is getting a facelift.

Crews are working to put up a new commemorative sign on Ruckriegel Parkway.

The district was made famous by the annual Gaslight Festival, which will celebrate its 45th anniversary this September.

According to
, this year's occasion boasts "a motorcycle rally, car show, golf scramble, 5K run/walk, parade, balloon glow, children's playground, live entertainment and over 150 arts, crafts and commercial booths."

Festivities kick off on Sunday, September 14th, with the Gaslight Poker Rally and run the rest of the week, culminating in the Gaslight Festival Weekend, which ends on the 21st.

The Gaslight Festival draws over 200,000 visitors and has grown to be one of the largest festivals in the Southeast.
