UPDATE: Cause of death for body found in Corydon creek ruled accidental drowning

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- UPDATE: Following an autopsy Saturday afternoon, the cause of death has been ruled an accidental drowning. 

According to a press release from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, the man's injuries indicate that he fell from a bridge near where his body was found. 

The release says they are still waiting on toxicology reports. 

Original story follows:

August 1, 2014, 2:55 p.m.: Authorities on scene say the body of a 44-year-old white male has been found in the creek near the Harrison County fairgrounds in Corydon. 

Officers with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, along with Cory don and Harrison County authorities, are investigating. The coroner is on scene.

According to a DNR press release, the body of 44-year-old Daniel McKim, of Corydon, was pulled from the water near Capitol Avenue Bridge. They say the body was discovered by two fisherman in very shallow water.

McKim was reported missing by his mother just after midnight Thursday night.

Officials say they do not suspect foul play at this point.
