Baxter Avenue Morgue wraps up casting, preps for scares

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Even in August, some people are already gearing up for October - especially to scare you.

The Baxter Avenue Morgue held auditions this weekend for people interested in getting involved with the haunted house this year.

The haunted house is family run and organizers say they're ready to frighten the fans.

The actors, dressed in haunted gear and scary make up, will definitely scare you. But the property was actually a morgue at one time, and those who've set it up believe it's actually haunted.

"Every once in a while you walk through and you get that reminder like 'there was dead bodies here at one point, it's scary I'm always like: ‘what was that noise’," said casting director Abbi Stephenson.

There are still about five spots open for actors if you're interested.

For all those who want to get scared - the morgue opens September 19th.
