LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Lebanon Junction Police have arrested two parents after police say they admitted to smoking synthetic marijuana in the presence of their two children.

According to arrest reports, police visited the home of 24-year-old Charles Broaddus and 28-year-old Brittany Jackson on Thompson Street, near the intersection of Main Street and Preston Highway in Lebanon Junction, Ky., in order to conduct an investigation.

While there, police say they saw two 6-year-old twin boys sitting nearby -- one outside the door, and the other just inside it.

Police say both Broaddus and Jackson were there and appeared to be intoxicated. Upon questioning, they allegedly admitted to smoking synthetic marijuana -- otherwise known as "spice" -- in the presence of their children.

Both were arrested and charged with possession of synthetic drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
