Northern Ohio water ban lifted

Posted: Updated:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Six test results came back with no problems and water is declared safe, according to officials speaking about a ban that left more than 400,000 people in Ohio trying to find clean drinking water. The ban has now been lifted

The dangerous toxin was found in Toledo's water system early Saturday. That's when the state's governor issued a "don't drink, don't use, don't even boil"  rule.

The National Guard and other agencies have been delivering bottled water and operating water purification systems.

Officials say farm runoff and sludge from sewage treatment plant build up created the dangerous algae in the water.
