LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A North Dakota mother is taking heat for a parenting move some say was too much.

Cindy Bjerke planned to take her 18-year-old daughter to see a Katy Perry concert in Fargo but when the teen allegedly began to act bratty, her mother decided to sell the tickets on Facebook.

In the ad Cindy said she was selling the tickets because her daughter didn't deserve to attend the concert.

“I was not going to let her go to this concert with the behavior that she's been doing." Bjerke told WDAZ.

When word of Bjerke’s decision got out, many parents voiced their opinions. “Most of it has been overwhelming support and I think a lot of parents feel like me where they're being bullied on how they should parent their children,” Bjerke said.

The $110 set of tickets sold within five minutes for a discounted price of $90.
