New Albany crews installing storm basin to improve drainage

NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WDRB) -- A new project now underway should ease flooding problems in New Albany.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held Tuesday morning for the Meide Drive Detention Basin. It will provide flooding relief to the Daisy Lane area, near Falling Run Creek,.

The basin is the third major project funded through a $6 million stormwater bond.

The project's cost is estimated at $340,000. It's expected to be completed this fall.
