LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It's a place for geeks to brainstorm and perhaps create the next great new product.
LVL1 (pronounced Level One) is an organization that brings people together who like to build things.
"We're a community for artists, engineers, scientists, any tinkers who want to build anything, they can come here and use the resources that we have," says LVL1 president Brad Luyster.
The organization is joining other tech businesses at The Pointe in Butchertown, moving into a new, bigger 8,800 square foot space. LVL1 used to be located on Broadway.
The space is filled with 3D printers, laser cutters and even sewing machines to help people assemble just about anything. It's a place that could generate the next great invention.
Luyster, an electrical engineer, says he's looking for an easier way to cut the grass at his one-acre home.
"One of the things I'm working on is to build a robot lawn mower that can drive itself and mow my lawn for me," he says.
Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer will be at LVL1 on Saturday to help dedicate its new space.
