LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The LMPD robbery unit is asking for the public's help to identify the man who robbed a bank on Lexington Road Monday afternoon.

According to LMPD spokeswoman Alicia Smiley, it happened just after 1 p.m. on Aug. 4 at the Republic Bank at 3726 Lexington Road. That's where police say the suspect gave a teller a note demanding cash. After getting the money, the suspect took off on foot, and was last seen on Macon Avenue.

The suspect is described as a white male, 25 to 30 years old, 5'7" to 5'8" and weighing between 180 to 200 pounds.

No one was injured during the robbery and police say no weapon was displayed.

If you recognize the man in the surveillance photo, you're asked to call the LMPD crime tipline at 502-574-LMPD (574-5673).
