JCPS hotline open to parents about bus transportation

Posted: Updated:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - It's the last Sunday before students head back to class at JCPS.

School starts Wednesday, and the district wants to make sure all parents are ready when it comes to putting their kids on the bus.

For the next four days, JCPS will have a hotline you can call to ask questions about transportation.

Employees will answer questions ranging from bus routes and times. Superintendent Donna Hargens is also helping with the hotline.

"The folks at Jacob Compound will know exactly and they will help you tomorrow," Hargens said.

Hargens says the hotline will help parents who have questions-- especially those without internet access.

The number is 485-RIDE (7433).

JCPS is also adding more monitors for bus rides to and from school this year to help tackle school bullying.

Here are the times the hotline will be open:

Sunday, Aug. 10, 5-7 p.m.

Monday, Aug. 11, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Aug. 12, 7:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Wednesday, Aug. 13, 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 14, 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.
