LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two women were arrested for allegedly trying to pass forged checks, according to arrest reports.

Police say it happened on Saturday afternoon at the Pic Pac on Blue Lick Road, near S. Park Road. According to reports, 29-year-old Jacqueline H. Hardinson and 25-year-old Seyanna L. Adkins entered the store and tried to cash a check. Although Pic Pac was notified that the company listed on the check is a legitimate company, police say the check itself was "fake and forged."

It wasn't the first time the pair had shown up with a forged check, according to the report. Police say that previously, they cashed a fake check at the store in the amount of $480.75, before store employees realized the check was not legitimate.

Police say the pair told them they worked for an Internet company that sends them the checks. Officers did not disclose the name of that company on the report.

Both women were arrested and charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument, engaging in organized crime and theft by deception.
