Former Louisville Metro Corrections officer accused of official misconduct

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A former Metro Corrections officer is accused of stealing from the department.

Joshua Spenton entered a not guilty plea in court Monday morning. Investigators say he clocked in at Metro Corrections, but was actually working another job. He's accused of stealing more than $500 from the Department of Corrections.

He's also accused of official misconduct.

Spenton is expected back in court next month.
