LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Kentucky State Fair is known for extreme snacking with everything from fried candy bars to doughnut burgers, but fair goers can also learn about healthcare.

Information about Kentucky's health initiative and its health benefit exchange will be available at the Cabinet for Health and Family Services' exhibit.

Visitors will also be able to take advantage of health screenings at the Health Horizons Exhibit. Most of the screenings are free, but some screenings require a small fee.

The state fair begins Thursday and runs thru August 24th at the Kentucky Expo Center.
