LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- There's a program that's showing families in need there's always room for a second chance.

Bank On Louisville celebrated its 4th anniversary Wednesday.

The local bank project has helped thousands of people open new bank accounts and learn more about their finances. It has also helped them reduce their debt and improve their credit scores.

Project leaders say it's never too late to straighten out a history of financial trouble.

"There's always room for improvement about how you handle your finances," said Tina Lentz, Program Administrator for Bank on Louisville. "We can all use that kind of expert advice given to us at any stage."

Bank on Louisville has helped more than 16,000 people open bank accounts over the last four years.
