LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A crackdown designed to bust impaired drivers starts Wednesday.

Expect to see more officers on the streets as part of the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign.

Last year, there were more than 5,500 alcohol-related crashes in Kentucky, resulting in 138 deaths.

The Kentucky Office of Highway Safety is partnering with law enforcement across the state as part of the campaign.

It runs through the Labor Day weekend.
